Postdoc registration and appointment for payroll purposes are separate processes. The Postdoctoral OfficeÌýhandles only the admission/registration of postdocs on the McGill student registration system, and does not have access to payroll systems.ÌýIt is the sole responsibility of the department/research unit to process appointment forms of newly-registered and continuing postdocs for the payment of stipends.
Each unit should designate an administrator(s) responsible forÌýgeneral postdoc affairs andÌýthe appointment of postdocs through the appropriate payroll system. Postdocs should be appointed for payroll purposes through the usual payroll systems of McGill, the hospital or the affiliated Institute. Payroll issues should be resolved locally.
