The 2019 Global Health Night hosted a Global Health Poster Fair to showcase McGill student work in global health research and programming. This was an opportunity for students to network and have their work shared and recognized. Many thanks to all the students who participated!
Abstract
Poster abstracts are encouraged from all fields with relevance to global health including communicable and non-communicable disease, education and capacity building, policy, governance and economics, determinants of health (social, environmental and otherwise), innovations and technologies. Abstracts and posters must fall into one of three categories:
- Global health research: Global health research work led by student(s) -- see an example of a research poster
- Global health initiatives: Programs and missions undertaken by groups --see examples of initiative posters here and here
- Global health Clinical Placement: Supervised practice in approved clinical situations for clinical students -- see example here
In the event that an abstract falls under both categories please choose the most appropriate option.
Deadline information
Deadline for abstracts for the poster competition is September 30, 2019 23:59. All students enrolled in McGill's undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate programs at the time of submission are invited to submit an abstract. This includes, but is not limited to, medical, nursing and health professional studies.
Selection
Poster abstracts were evaluated by the Global Health Programs office for inclusion in the poster fair. Presenters will be notified by mid-October 2019.
Maximum allowed dimensions for posters are 42" wide and 45" inches tall. Detailed poster guidelines are available here.
