Professor Anja Geitmann, PhD
Vice-President (Global Engagement)
Professor Geitmann is the inaugural holder of the newly created Office of the Vice-President (Global Engagement) at Ï㽶ÊÓƵ, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Next to her academic qualifications and administrative leadership experience, she brings to this role the lived experience of studying and working in six different countries, leadership roles in multinational collaborative research initiatives, and service on panels of international research funding organizations.

Kalyna Kruczowyj
Associate Director, Global Engagement
As Associate Director, Global Engagement, Kalyna implements the University’s global engagement strategy by facilitating university partnerships and other institutional agreements, guiding risk management, and supporting programs for displaced individuals.Â
Following her graduation with a Bachelor of Arts (psychology and linguistics) from McGill, Kalyna developed an expertise on internationalization in higher education over a decade of work at diverse departments across the University.
Kalyna has a particular interest in health and wellness (and syntax trees!). Outside her work at McGill, she is active in volunteer and governance roles and is currently working on a project to promote cultural diversity through food.

Guillaume Cossette
Associate Director, Global Communications
Guillaume joined the Global Engagement unit in 2024 in the newly created role of Associate Director, Global Communications. In this role, he is responsible for communicating and promoting the McGill story to global audiences and building the university’s brand awareness overseas by developing and implementing McGill’s global communications and media relations strategy. His work also involves informing the McGill community about the university's international presence and key global engagement opportunities.
Guillaume brings over 15 years of experience in strategic communications, having served at four leading Canadian universities. Fluent in both English and French, he strives to foster intercultural dialogue and connections, both locally and globally. Beyond professional endeavours, Guillaume finds fulfillment in mountaineering adventures, sailing and exploring the natural world.

Jie Yu
Global Engagement Advisor (Asia, Middle East, Oceania)
Jie Yu is the Global Engagement Advisor for Asia, the Middle East, and Oceania, advising on international partnerships aligned with McGill's global engagement strategy. Jie supports research collaboration and facilitates student and faculty mobility opportunities between McGill and institutions from the geographic region. Jie also organizes visits from international institutions and engages external stakeholders to promote partnerships.
Jie studied and worked in China, Canada, Japan, the Netherlands and Germany. Jie is a graduate of Queen’s University (PhD in Human Geography). Drawing on her prior work in higher education, government bodies, and non-profit sector, Jie is committed to facilitate collaboration and dialogue between McGill and global communities.

Annie Vos
Administrator
Annie Vos (she/her) joined Ï㽶ÊÓƵ in 2017 as the executive assistant to the Associate Dean in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, and Global Engagement in 2021.Â
Originally from Belgium, Annie lived and worked for years in the Middle East, specifically with Palestinian, Iraqi, and Syrian refugees via international non-profit and diplomatic organizations, including 10 years with the Vatican Embassy. Annie holds a bachelor in translation (Arabic, French, English, Italian). Following her pastoral care studies, she lived and worked in a refugee camp where she served end-of-life patients.Â
On a personal level, she is passionate about human rights and equity and volunteers with Aids Community Care Montreal. She loves swimming, hiking, and biking.

Bobby Ansari
Administrative Assistant
Bobby is a graduate of Ï㽶ÊÓƵ (B.Com) and the Johns Hopkins Institute for Medicine and Spirituality and Trauma Counselling (MA) Bobby is a certified Spiritual Care Professional with the American Association for Clinical Pastoral Education.
She also has broadcasting and social media experience where some of her articles on the cultural appropriation of yoga had gone viral. She has previously lived and worked in Ankara and Antalya, Turkey teaching English as a Second Language and in Washington DC at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and Georgetown University Hospital. She speaks English, French, Turkish and Bengali and is a citizen of Canada and Bangladesh.
