Navigating Microaggressions in the Classroom

Wednesday, November 13, 2024 14:00to16:00

This workshop supports instructors in developing a greater understanding of what microaggressions are, how to intervene when they arise, and how we can co-create classrooms that better support and include everyone.

At end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Identify and differentiate between types of microaggressions and their links to systems of oppression
  • Identify and practice applying microintervention strategies for responding to microaggressions
  • Consider how to foster classrooms and learning spaces which minimize the occurrence of microaggressions
