CanMEDS Skills and Objectives
Throughout their time in the Program, trainees are continuously evaluated in all the CanMeds activity spheres.
Knowledge Acquisition Skills
Emphasis will also be placed how new knowledge has been obtained and how it can be furthered.
Breadth of Exposure
The McGill Endocrine Division engages in multifaceted clinical and research activities and the training program is thus geared to provide a similarly broad exposure to clinical endocrinology and metabolism, as well as to different types of research activities.
Preparedness for Certification Exams
Trainees will receive the necessary exposure and experience in endocrinology and metabolism to fulfill requirements for subspecialty certification. Trainees will practice taking exams as part of the curriculum.
Skills for the Future
Upon completion of their two-year training, the fellows will be very well prepared to autonomously and proficiently pursue a career in endocrinology and metabolism, either in academia or in clinical practice.
