Drummond Foundation Research Grant Awarded to Dr. Jenna Gibbs - KPE
Congratulations to Dr. Jenna Gibbs, Assistant Professor in McGill's Kinesiology and Physical Education (KPE) Department, who was recently awarded a Drummond Foundation Research Grant supported by the Drummond Foundation and the John R. McConnell Foundation.
Dr. Gibbs will receive $25,000 to identify and address bone health and exercise information needs in older adults with diabetes in collaboration with researchers from the Research Institute at the Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Health Centre and Laval University. This research will advance knowledge and practice on fracture prevention and management in diabetes and create a person-centred education program promoting safe and effective exercise to improve bone health in older adults living with diabetes.
The Drummond Foundation Research Grants fund investigators working in Canada who are interested in ageing-related research and in improving the quality of life of older adults, their families, and caregivers.
