Robyn Albers, from Gatineau’s Heritage College, uses innovative techniques in her classroom to improve the English language skills of the region’s health care workers.
Each of the regions has identified their target population for language training as well as a local language training provider. A number of different local language training organizations are involved in the project: universities, CEGEPs, private institutions, school boards, and a rehabilitation centre (for American Sign Language). Each of these partners is providing language training for the specific population targeted by the region.
