Two McGill finance students receive CFA scholarship
Investment leader CFA Montréal has awarded two scholarships to Desautels students Rakan Lamy (BCom’20) and Xinyan Wang (MMF’20) for their high academic achievement and engagement in the investment community.
The scholarship, awarded to a total of six students based in Montreal, is given to finance students who have their sights set on becoming CFA charterholders.
This year’s scholarship is powered by donations from CFA Montréal’s partners, Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ) and the Montreal Alternative Investment Forum (FIAM), totalling CAD$12,500. CFA Montreal and its partners awarded half of its scholarship funds to women in an effort to promote gender equity in the investment industry.
