Resilience Required: Women Need More Self-Belief to Access Higher Jobs

International talent management specialists, a&dc believe resilience is a key focus for addressing the lack of progression of women in business. Responding to research from the Cranfield International Centre for Women Leaders a&dc do not believe quotas are necessarily the best way to address the issue although Cranfield found that over the last six months, levels of FTSE 100 board appointments going to women have dropped significantly.
... Recent research by Canada’s Desautels Faculty of Management at Ï㽶ÊÓƵ entiltled ‘Do Women Choose Different Jobs from Men’ put forward the idea that some women were taking themselves out of the running for certain jobs, partly due to a perceived assumption that they may be unsuccessful.
