Professor Robert David's research on failing management trends receives widespread coverage
Professor Robert David and Cornell professor David Strang's paper on why promising management trends often fail ("When Fashion is Fleeting: Transitory Collective Beliefs and the Dynamics of TQM Consulting," Academy of Management Journal, 49(2): 215-233) has received widespread coverage and recognition.
The paper was profiled on June 26, 2006, in both the Wall Street Journal ("Why management trends quickly fade away") and U.S. News & World Report ("The Lemming Effect"), with Canadian coverage on May 29, 2006, in the Globe and Mail ("Beware of management consultants bearing fads").
