Professor Samer Faraj’s paper published in Organization Science, 31(5): 1248-1271, with co-authors Anastasia V. Sergeeva and Marleen Huysman, was chosen by the Academy of Management OCIS Executive Committee as the Winner of the 2021 OCIS Best Published Paper Award.

#AOM2021 OCIS Award Winners were announced during the Annual Business Meeting held on August, 2nd, 2021.

The Organizational Communication and Information Systems (OCIS) Division of the Academy of Management (AOM) promotes an interdisciplinary approach to further the understanding of the behavioral, social, and economic processes at the intersection of communication, technology, and organizing. OCIS emphasizes communication topics that reflect changes in the contemporary nature of work enabled through the use of mainstream and emerging technologies and systems.
