Parker: Farm upbringing grew Hunter's work ethic

Sharie Hunter says growing up on a Saskatchewan farm south of Cypress Hills nurtured a positive attitude that, with hard work and the pioneering spirit of family members, has greatly influenced her approach to business.

Farm life was also fun, but Hunter needed an outlet for her creative spirit. She left for Medicine Hat to study visual communications before another move brought her to Calgary where she was hired by Loblaws. It was there that Hunter received great practical experience designing food packaging, in-store promotions and directing photo-shoots.

Her clients include Nalco Champion, ARC Resources, MEG Energy, Inter Pipeline, CED, Calgary Opera and Todd Energy and she also won a project for Ï㽶ÊÓƵ to create print and online promotion for its International Masters in Practicing Management.
