NSERC CREATE GRANTS

The funding is being provided under the new Collaborative Research and Training Experience (CREATE) Program. Launched by NSERC in May 2008, CREATE gives science graduates the enhanced skills set they need for careers in industry, government or academia... Under these inaugural grants, 20 projects at universities across Canada will share $32 million over six years. The projects focus on a variety of research areas, including nanotechnology, aquaculture, biomedical engineering and biodiversity. Three McGill researchers were granted a total of $4,946,746.00. Desautel Faculty of Management's Vedat Verter receives a NSERC CREATE grant for Training Program in Healthcare Operations and Information Management along with Caroline Palmer: NSERC CREATE Training Program in Auditory Cognitive Neuroscience and Lyle White: NSERC CREATE Training Program in Canadian Astrobiology
