MEDIA ADVISORY: DESAUTELS BUSINESS CONFERENCE
Various issues relating to Canada’s competitiveness in the global economic market will be addressed through panel discussions and addresses by keynote speakers at the 16thÌýedition of the Desautels Business Conference, hosted by the McGill Desautels Faculty of Management on Friday, March 6, at the Centre Mont-Royal, in Montreal. Speakers include Raymond Chrétien, Strategic Advisor, Fasken Martineau, and former Canadian ambassador; Bruce Simpson, Director, McKinsey Canada; Marcel Coté, Founding Partner, Secor; and Louise Léger, Director General, Foreign Affairs & Trade.
The conference will bring together industry and government leaders to discuss and debate what steps are under way, and must be taken, by the private and public sectors for Canada Inc. to succeed in the 21st century. The objective is to challenge business models and policies that have governed industry for the past several years, and present new and innovative solutions to help create globally savvy managers and globally competitive enterprises.

Since 1993, the Desautels Business Conference has been a premier student-run business conference for business students and distinguished members of the business community. The conference is traditionally attended by both students and professionals. In March 2008 the conference welcomed 100 guests and 14 speakers – CEOs, VPs and senior executives.
