McGill Teams place 1st and 2nd at Canadian L’Oréal Brandstorm Competition
McGill students put their business analysis and presentation skills to the test once again at the finals of the Canadian L'Oreal Brandstorm Competition held on April 26, 2011.Ìý After competing against 14 other McGill teams in the preliminary round in November 2010, these two teams continued onto the Canadian finals against two teams from HEC and two teams from Schulich.Ìý After working for almost 5 months on the challenge set forth by L'Oreal, the McGill teams finished 1st and 2nd at the finals with 3rd place going to Schulich.
McGill's 1st place team consisted of Ivana Bogaert Defillo (BCom '11), Michael-Ryan Boychuk (BCom '12) and Melanie Ioanna (BCom '11) who will now represent Canada in Paris, France at the International L'Oreal Brandstorm Competition against 40 other countries the week of June 13th.Ìý In 2nd place was the team of Anna Chif (BCom '12), Anthony Lecossois (BCom '12) and Aquil Virani (BA '12).Ìý
The L'Oreal Brandstorm challenge this year was to attract men to professional salons, imagine a new concept and its associated range of products for L'Oreal Professional Homme brand.
