McGill Desautels conferred second EQUIS re-accreditation by EFMD

Published: 14 June 2018

At its June 27 meeting in London, the Accreditation Board of the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) rendered its decision to re-accredit the McGill Desautels Faculty of Management for a second five-year period – the maximum term granted by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) through EQUIS.

The decision was reached following the submission of multiple reports in January and an on-site audit by the EQUIS Peer Review Team (PRT) in March. The Accreditation Board was impressed with the significant progress made since the Faculty’s last re-accreditation in 2018 and took particular note of the quality of its outstanding research output, strong internationalization positioning and quality of students and services.

Through this recognition, McGill Desautels continues to be one of 210 institutions in 45 countries that are certified for excellence in business education worldwide. The achievement of EQUIS re-accreditation testifies to the strength of the Faculty’s programs, students, professors, and staff, while the required strategic review process has helped solidify its objectives and plans moving forward.

“The Desautels Faculty of Management is privileged to receive yet another five-year re-accreditation by EQUIS. This esteemed global recognition is a testament to our high calibre professoriate, staff, students and alumni,” commented Yolande E. Chan, Dean at the McGill Desautels Faculty of Management.
