McGill declared one of the world's 100 best universities and ranked tops in research

Published: 27 October 2005

McGill is proving once more why it is regarded as Canada's best and best-known university on the world stage. This week, the Times Higher Education Supplement released its annual report that provides an international comparison of the globe's top 100 universities in five different fields. McGill's name appears in every category, and the University has once again been designated as Canada's top school overall.

Research Infosource Inc. declared this week that McGill is Canadian Research University of the Year in the Medical/Doctoral category. McGill came out on top in the ability of its individual professors to attract research funding and their capacity to publish in high-impact journals.

For additonal information on these rankings, see the McGill Reporter article of October 27, 2005.
