Published: 24 September 2020

Ï㽶ÊÓƵ has been named in the top 25 undergraduate programs for female founders in the 2020 PitchBook University rankings.

Now first in Canada and 18th in the world for female entrepreneurs, McGill is the only Canadian school included in this year’s ranking, which features universities across the U.S and Israel. McGill’s standing in the top 20 recognizes the work of 62 female founders who have raised more than USD$800 million for their startups, including Cloudfare, VarageSale, Lamudi, Ecologic and Laurel & Wolf. McGill also placed second in Canada and tied 30th globally in the top 50 undergraduate programs producing startup founders.

In preparing their rankings, Pitchbook tracked founders of companies that received a first round of venture funding between January 1, 2006, and August 31, 2020.
