Interview with Gideo Hayden, BCom'11
Tradyo is a Toronto-based startup that aims to bring the concept of bartering and swapping back to a neighbourhood level. The free iPhone app is the brainchild of four freshly graduated university students who wanted to trade cool stuff they didn't want for cool stuff they did want.
Tradyo is a recent grad of The Next 36 - a Canadian Entrepreneurial initiative that gives nine teams of students a chance to become mobile entrepreneurs. The Next 36 is backed by high-profile big business, entrepreneurs and academics and more than 2,000 graduate students from across the country applied to participate.
The graduating businesses recently launched and pitched their businesses to ventrure capitalists are Venture Day Monday and Tradyo was selected as the Outstanding Venture.
Two of Tradyo's co-founders - Eran Henig and Gideon Hayden, BCom'11 - were in Vancouver for the GROW 2011 Conference and our Michelle Sklar got the chance to chat with them.
