Forbes gives McGill MBA high marks: Again ranked among top Canadian business schools
Published: 15 October 2007
Forbes magazine ranks the Desautels Faculty of Management as one of Canada's top business schools. In its 2007 survey of MBA programs at non-U.S. business schools, Forbes places Desautels in 11th place internationally. IESE in Barcelona garners the top spot. "The McGill MBA program emphasizes a global outlook that is unique in North America, and our graduates are able to work in dynamic organizations anywhere in the world," says Management dean Peter Todd. "We are also launching a newly redesigned MBA program in September 2008. It will feature a shortened core curriculum so students will have more time to concentrate on areas of specialization closely matching their career goals and interests." The Forbes biennial rankings calculate the return on investment experienced by MBA graduates. The survey is based on a "five-year MBA gain" by determining average post-MBA compensation minus the costs of attending business school (tuition and foregone salary).
