Donna Angela Roper MSC, receives inaugural McGill Desautels Award for IS Women in Academia
Donna Angela Roper, Professor of Computer Science with over 35 years of dedicated service, has been honoured with the inaugural McGill Desautels Award for IS Women in Academia. Heading the eCommerce School at the University of Panama, her work and influence extend beyond academia. She has worked as a consultant and researcher in health literacy and women’s participation in the engineering area to which she has made significant contributions. Professor Roper’s advocacy for gender equality in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector has earned her recognition as a national and international speaker.
The inaugural award includes a fully paid registration to attend the , celebrating Donna’s contribution to promoting AMCIS in Latin America and Panama in particular. Her dedication as an IEEE member and ambassador for technology and women further exemplify her commitment.
Congratulations to Professor Roper for her achievements and empowering women in technology.
