Desautels MBA #1 in Canada for Salary, GMAT and International Faculty
Canadian Business Magazine has unveiled its MBA Guide 2010Â for students, showcasing the graduate-level business schools across Canada. The MBA Guide is a comprehensive resource taking into account pertinent information to help any aspiring MBA or EMBA student choose the right school. The survey lists Canadian MBA and executive MBA programs by tuition, program duration, admission requirements and class composition. The Guide provides employment and salary figures for MBA program graduates, and average work experience for EMBA participants.
Results show that the Desautels MBA Program has the highest post-graduation starting salary with an average of C$103,000. This represents the highest salary percent change at 108%, propelling up from 63% in 2009. Desautels MBA students also have the second highest GMAT score in all of Canada, at 668.
As for the bilingual McGill-HEC Montréal EMBA program, it retains the highest percentage of students who are VPs or higher (50%) compared to any other Canadian program and has the second highest percentage of international students (12%).
The strengths of the Desautels MBA include its abundance of local and international connections as well as high-quality specialties. Taking into consideration today's interconnected world, the Desautels MBA program was redesigned 2 years ago to focus on integrated management through an interdisciplinary curriculum.
Moreover, the Desautels MBA cohort is composed of diverse and accomplished individuals. Canadian figure skating champion and Olympic athlete, Craig Buntin, is currently a Desautels MBA student and entrepreneur, having launched his own company, Teabean Coffee Co. in 2009. "In the best points in my training career, I got out of bed at five o'clock in the morning and I was excited to go to the rink," Buntin says. "That's how I feel going to school every morning."
