Published: 10 May 2016

A Desautels undergraduate student case team composed of Kangni Chen, Manuel Gobeille-Leblanc, Victoire Monnier and Alexie Morin made the finals at the 18th annual Global Business Case Competition (GBCC) hosted by Foster School of Business at the University of Washington held from April 4 to 10, 2016.

Twelve top business schools from all over the world were represented. The Desautels team made it to the finals by winning their group division composed of UC Berkley and University of Brussels.  In the finals, McGill went up against The Global Team, Queensland University of Technology and the National University of Singapore who were the eventual winners.  The case was on VW and their emissions scandal.

The team had taken the "Case Analysis and Presentation" class taught by Professor Richard Donovan, who also served as their coach.  A special thanks goes to Professor Julia Scott who also coached and accompanied the team to Seattle.

Congratulations to Kangni, Manuel, Victoire and Alexie for their great performance!
