Air Canada Trans-Border Partnership: A Good Merger

Air Canada made headlines last week, announcing a trans-border revenue-sharing joint venture with newly merged United/Continental. AC says the new partnership will give Canadian travellers more choices of flight times and destinations, better prices and better service. This type of partnership is a great way to cut costs and boost revenues, says industry watcher and McGill professor Karl Moore. "There are other ways they can integrate, maybe servicing the planes," Moore told the Herald. "Various things where they can say we're going to move together as one entity rather than two distinct companies."
