AI tools boost and optimize productivity in the retail sector
Artificial intelligence (AI) will give productivity a major boost in the retail sector, according Maxime Cohen, Professor of Retail and Operations Management at McGill Desautels, home to the Bensadoun School of Retail Management (BSRM)’s retail innovation lab. “It will present shoppers with the right product, at the right time, at the right price,” says Cohen in an interview with TVA Nouvelles. It could also have major implications for how retail work is performed. Inventory management, warehousing and almost any other back-office function could potentially be optimised using emerging AI tools.
