28th Annual Management Achievement Awards

Five outstanding Canadian business leaders were honoured for their success and contributions to the community at a luncheon organized by the students of Ï㽶ÊÓƵ's Desautels Faculty of Management on Friday, Feb. 1.

The five 2008 award recipients demonstrated outstanding entrepreneurship, ethics and corporate social responsibility — core values that capture the spirit of Desautels management students:

  • Arlene Dickinson, President, Venture Communications Ltd.;
  • Daniel Germain, Founding President, Québec Breakfast Club;
  • Gerald W. Schwartz, OC, Chairman and CEO, Onex Corporation;
  • Moses Znaimer, BA'63, media innovator and owner; and
  • Herschel Victor, CM, BCom'44, Chairman and CEO, Jack Victor Ltd., who received a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Peter Todd, Dean of the Desautels Faculty of Management, and student members of the organizing committee addressed the awards luncheon.
