$10,000 in 10 Days
New this year is an initiative of Desautels Faculty of Management - MBA students use social media during a trip to India with a goal to raise $ 10,000 to send poor Indian girls to school. The group announced today that with the aid of donors, and two corporate sponsors (Bombardier Aerospace and Astral Media) they have a total of $11,900. They have decided to extend the donation campaign deadline to March 10, 2011. Professor Karl Moore, Project Co-Leader Charlie Bern, and 5 Hot Cities India 2011 class student Tala Al-Jabri were interviewed on CJAD from Mumbai, India, about their experiences in India so far.
