Postmodern Management: Working with Under 35-Year-Olds the Way They Want To Be Worked With

Join Ottawa alumni for an enlightening evening with renowned McGill Management professor Karl Moore. Are you a 30-something with a boss who just doesn't "get" you? Or are you an experienced manager whose young employees seem difficult to motivate? What's up in the modern workplace?

This McGill on the Move event will explore the attitude and expectations of a new generation of workers and how to help them - and their managers - succeed in business.

Karl Moore worked for 11 years in sales and marketing management positions in the high-tech field with IBM and Hitachi, and taught at Oxford University for five years. He came to McGill to work with Henry Mintzberg, with whom he co-directs McGill's Advanced Leadership Program. Karl has won numerous teaching awards, including the Faculty teaching award at the MBA level. He has been a Senior Fellow in Leadership at the Canada School of Public Service in Ottawa, where he helped develop the Canadian Government's Advanced Leadership Program. Karl has taught extensively in executive education programs, including at Oxford, Cambridge, Duke, Queen's, McGill, IIM Bangalore, Renmin (Beijing), and Darden. An active management consultant, he has worked with Air Canada, BA, Nokia, IBM, Volvo, HP, Motorola, Accenture and Morgan Stanley among other firms.
