Become proficient in French
As indicated on the Dentistry Agreement Form that you signed, you will need to acquire a basic knowledge of French by the time you begin the Clinical Practice courses at the start of the third year of the program. If you are looking to improve your French language skills, here are a few suggested options you can start looking into: /dentistry/programs/language-proficiency (under ‘Prospective Undergraduate Students Basic Knowledge of French’).

McGill requires all newly admitted students to complete a short tutorial on academic integrity before the beginning of September. This is accessible under the Student Menu on Minerva.

All McGill community members - students, staff, and faculty - are required to complete It Takes All of Us: Creating a Campus Community Free of Sexual Violence, a mandatory online learning program that strives to increase awareness of sexual violence, to ensure that our campus culture is based on respect and consent, and to help create a community free of sexual violence. It consists of five modules that use character-driven scenarios to teach important topics surrounding sexual violence and its impact. All staff, faculty, and students complete the same version of the program.
As part of McGill’s and in accordance with , it is important for anyone who studies or works at McGill to have a shared understanding of the key concepts around preventing sexual violence on our campus. Because of the substantial changes made to the program, all members of the McGill community are required to take this updated version of It Takes All of Us.
The program is hosted on myCourses, McGill’s online Learning Management System. To access the program, log in to using your McGill credentials (i.e., your email and password). If you don’t see the program, make sure you click “View All Courses” and search “It Takes All of Us.”
