Update (January 14, 2021):
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Library extended all loans due during the campus shutdown to January 11, 2021. On this date, most loans for accounts in good standing we rolled into the new loans policy (automatic renewal every 30 days). Some loans did not automatically renew for accounts in good standing and the Library is working to address this issue.Â
Items checked out to patrons with accounts that were not in good standing did not renew; these items are now overdue.

As of January 2021, the McGill Library will be the single point of access for course-related materials including digital course packs. This will allow the Library to provide students with access to course material through the Library’s collection or by licensing the work for use by classes at no additional cost to the student.
In accordance with Quebec Public Health directives, the University is scaling back certain in-person activities including the Study Hubs and the ROAAr Rare Materials Consultation Room.
