Funded by McGill鈥檚 Sustainability Project Fund (SPF), The Little Free Library Initiative is looking for a project assistant. As a member of the coordinating committee, you will engage and network with fellow graduate students and faculty at McGill and other Canadian universities to help realize the project.

On March 20, 2017, the first day of spring, the Macdonald Campus Library at 香蕉视频 will officially launch a seed library. The Macdonald Campus Seed Library is the first academic seed library of its kind in Quebec and third in Canada. The library serves the entire McGill community.

After six months, 11 consultation events, and hundreds of ideas gathered online and in person, the McGill Office of Sustainability (MOOS) is inviting the McGill community to share their thoughts on possible targets for the Vision 2020 Sustainability and Climate Action Plan.

Marianne Falardeau-C么t茅, a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Natural Resource Sciences (Supervisor Elena Bennett), "is investigating how climate change is affecting Arctic marine food webs, ecosystem services and the well-being of Inuit communities. Through her research, Marianne hopes to provide knowledge that will help governments sustainably manage ecosystems. Her research was featured in the June 2016 issue of Canadian Geographic".听
On听May 24-25, 2016, experts from the field of green (sustainable) chemistry gathered in Washington, DC, for a workshop on Sustainable Chemistry Technologies. The event was organized by the National Academy of Science鈥檚 Board on Chemical Sciences and Technology at the request of the United States General Accountability Office.
Four years of innovative projects and collaborative action planning have upgraded McGill鈥檚 rating in sustainability to Gold in the newest version of the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment and Rating System (STARS).
Among other achievements, the increasing integration of sustainability in curriculum, research, dining services, and purchasing helped McGill achieve Gold. The last time McGill reported to STARS, a self-reported assessment tool developed by the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE), in 2012, it earned a silver rating.

"Last week, Cl茅ment Joubert, pianist, former director of the McGill Conservatory and a 2015 McGill-HEC Montr茅al EMBA graduate, launched听Men鈥檚 Seasons, a new range of skincare products designed for men, which meets the seasonally specific needs of the skin. The products are made in Quebec and sold online.
