Countries worldwide face challenges meeting the growing needs for long-term care services because of high costs. A led by researchers from 㽶Ƶ and Université du Québec en Outaouais shows that introducing nurse practitioners can significantly reduce costs and improve patient safety.
Dear colleagues,
As you know, 㽶Ƶ is committed to helping contain the propagation of COVID-19 and fully supports the Quebec government’s decision to close all schools and universities for the two-week period ending March 29. In addition to the many challenges and stresses of homelessness—such as meeting immediate survival needs for food, water, clothing and shelter from the elements—taking care of health needs might seem insurmountable.
The McGill French Language Centre is offering French language courses specifically designed for students registered in professional programs for health and social sciences with the aim of preparing them for professional practice in Quebec.
Incoming (first year) students enrolled in Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Physical and Occupational Therapy, and Speech Language Pathology are required to attend the Interprofessional Education workshop. Attendance is for one of the two dates only and will be communicated in the first week of class.
