McGill Library now subscribes to "," a streaming video database of works ranging from Handel's Ariodante to Glass's Satyagraha. Watch complete opera performances directly from your computer screen on campus or elsewhere via a VPN connection.

The collection currently includes 42 operas filmed at such venues as the Salzburg Festival; the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden; Teatro alla Scala; and the San Francisco Opera House. Over time this number should grow to 250 titles.

The database also allows viewers to create excerpts and playlists to facilitate in-class presentations.
