Your faith and McGill

Find your space for religious life

The McGill Office of Religious and Spiritual Life (MORSL) is part of Student Services and dedicated to principles of inclusion and the celebration of diversity. MORSL is your go-to for campus resources such as prayer space, spiritual care, religious community connections, interfaith events and much more!

*Please note that MORSL is not accessible to Continuing Studies students who have not opted into the Student Services fee.

Join religious groups on campus

Faith-based student groups and clubs are among the most numerous and active on campus and welcome newcomers. Find a community through the MORSL directory or look for culture and country-based clubs through to expand your horizons by learning about a new culture or get a taste of home!

Meet like-minded students

Each year, student groups collaborate to offer multi-denominational froshes outside the typical Frosh that align with students’ religious practices such as (Christian, non-alcoholic), Halal Frosh (Muslim) and Jewish Frosh. Want to stay updated on the latest events for you?

Other ways to enjoy frosh

Outdoor Frosh offers incoming McGill students a safe, inclusive and adventurous way to spend frosh week. With hiking, biking, climbing, swimming, and more, Outdoors frosh is an alternative to Faculty Froshes and SSMU Frosh, which tend to focus on drinking. Outdoors Frosh offers physically-active events that center less around alcohol.
