The Brace Water Centre is听governed by central belief that water is a common resource for humanity and therefore requires people to work collectively locally, nationally, and internationally.
The Centre brings together staff from several McGill faculties, to undertake research, teaching, specialized training, and policy and strategic studies in water resources management, both in Canada and internationally. McGill is one of Canada's most comprehensive and research-intensive universities and the Centre draws on a wide range of expertise and facilities available within the University.听The Center supports innovations in research, education, and societal development as well as entrepreneurship related to water.

- To catalyze and support multidisciplinary research that provides innovative scientific and social solutions to global water challenges;

- To inform and advance policies in support of governments, industry and other organizations.
