The Anatomy and Cell Biology Confocal Microscopy facility possesses a Zeiss 510 laser scanning microscope equipped with three detectors, including a META detector. This instrument is suitable for fixed- and live-cell observation of a wide variety of sample types.

This confocal microscope--as well as training on it--is available to the entire scientific community on a fee-for-use basis. Consultation regarding suitability for a specific project or reservation of microscope time can be arranged by telephone or e-mail with:

Live cell chamber: Zeiss Temperature control 37°C with CO2 controller.

* Use of the confocal by a trained and approved individual not requiring continuous support from confocal facility staff. One or two training sessions may be required depending on previous confocal experience.
