Current research:
Dr. Zhao's research interests lie predominantly in manufacturing information technologies for the integration of design, manufacturing processes, and sustainability assessment. More specifically, Dr. Zhao is interested in developing theory and technology to integrate classical CAD/CAM/CNC/CMM with new internet-based manufacturing (e-manufacturing) and additive manufacturing technologies.
