Current research: 

Professor听Malomo's areas of expertise are structural and earthquake engineering. The main focus of his research is on computational听modeling of masonry, heritage and reinforced concrete systems,听collapse analysis of large-scale structures and infrastructures, development of hybrid DEM/FEM numerical听techniques. Since 2021, he serves in the Board of Directors of the听Canadian chapter of the听International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS). His work has been recently awarded by The Masonry Society (TMS), Pacific Earthquake Engineering Research Center (PEER) and the International Association of Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE).
