A Taste of Wilderness: Wild and Foraged Foods in Quebecois Cuisine and Culture
McGill's Personal and Cultural Enrichment Program (PACE) is excited to announce A Taste of Wilderness:  Wild and Foraged Foods in Quebecois Cuisine and Culture
This lecture-workshop-tasting led by Boston University's Rachel Black will take place at McGill's School of Continuing Studies on Friday October 11th from 6-8pm.Â
Tickets range from $29 - $39 and can be purchased through the PACE websiteÌý´Ç°ùÌýÌý±è²¹²µ±ð.
What is the taste of wilderness? How have wild and foraged foods contributed to a distinct Québécois cuisine and culture? Anthropologist and gastronome Rachel Black will lead a panel of culinary professionals, foragers, academics and entrepreneurs in a discussion of wild foods as part of cultural heritage, and as a growing industry. Participants in this workshop will have an opportunity to taste local wild and foraged foods and will be invited to join in the discussion. Feed your mind and your belly in this delicious evening of listening, learning, talking, and tasting your way into the heart of the Quebec wilderness!Â
We are trying to spread the word about this session as far as we can. Would it be possible to forward this information to your friends, colleagues, and anyone you think would be interested in this session? I have attached a pdf poster for this event which you are welcome to post and circulate. PACE is an innovative new program at McGill which presents a wide array of artistic and cultural lectures, workshops and performances throughout the year. All sessions are open to the entire Montreal community.  We are also always on the lookout for new workshop ideas and possible collaborations!
