Overview

History : A history of food and drink in global history. Topics include: feasts and famines; the exchange of foodstuffs and drinking habits between cultures, especially the early modern 'Columbian exchange'; the history of civilizing processes (e.g, table manners); the origins of the restaurant and the making of modern food systems.
