Vue d'ensemble

Sciences politiques : Judicial politics in continental Europe, including theoretical accounts of the rule of law, judicial independence, power, and accountability, and the judicialization of politics. Empirical examples will be drawn from both Western and Eastern Europe countries, as well as the constitutional and the ordinary judiciaries.

Terms: This course is not scheduled for the 2023-2024 academic year.

  • Prerequisite: POLI 211 or POLI 212

  • Restrictions: Not open to students who have taken POLI 339 in 2006-2007 or 2007-2008
