Overview
History : Explores the field of international history and Canada's particular version of it. Examines the artificial divide between national and international history; tracing how race, gender, class, colonialism and imperialism shaped the country's foundations as well as its evolving relationship with developments in the international sphere. Seminar readings and discussions focus on historiographical developments in the study of international history and how this has affected understandings of Canada and its place in the world.
