Overview

Translation : Principles of editing and revising texts written in Spanish or translated into Spanish from English, including the difference between editing and revising by adopting a hands-on approach. An introduction to parameters and procedures applied in copyediting and editing practices (including structural, content and substantive editing); an examination of those used in bilingual revision; post-editing (i.e., revising machine translation output) will be introduced, as well as computer aids for editors and revisers.

Terms: This course is not scheduled for the 2019-2020 academic year.

  • Restriction: Not open to students who have taken or are taking CCTR 340.
