The Minor Concentration in Urdu Language provides students with comprehensive training in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in Urdu.

  • ISLA 551D1 Introductory Urdu-Hindi (3 credits)

    Overview

    Islamic Studies : Introduction to Urdu-Hindi language including pronunciation and reading and writing of either Urdu or Hindi script, speaking and comprehension of basic sentences, commands, statements in the present tense.

Reading and composition exercises in Urdu or Hindi scripts are designed to give intermediate competency in the language.
