Overview
History : Examination of the period of disunity from ca. 100 to 600 CE, increasingly understood as a period of innovation and profound change. Study of population migrations from north to south, the enduring contributions of non-Chinese groups, religious developments, institutional and cultural memories of the lost Han order, commercialization and urban transformations, and text and material culture.
