Histoire de l'art : The German architectural tradition from the early Middle Ages to the present, the impact neighbouring countries had on its development, and the influence it exercised on them. The construction of an imperial tradition, and its use (and abuse) by different political systems.

Terms: This course is not scheduled for the 2009-2010 academic year.

  • Prerequisite: At least one 300-level course in architectural history.
  • Restriction: Not open to students who have taken ARTH 345.
