Overview

Religious Studies : From the French Revolution to World War II. Externally churches were challenged by ideologies of rationalism, liberalism and Marxism; internally, churches had to rediscover ways of working together, despite theological differences, in promoting social change. Selected conflict situations will be examined through primary and secondary sources.
