POLI 328 Modern Politics in Western Europe (3 credits)

Overview

Political Science : This course seeks an understanding of the similarities and differences between the political systems of contemporary Western Europe by examining the different ways in which these systems have taken shape over time. The political development of Western Europe will be conceptualized as a series of critical phases beginning with the formation of the modern dynastic state in the 15th Century and concluding with the "postwar settlement" of the late 1940s.
