Chantal's work is multifaceted, and the success of our nowadays well over 230 Graduate Student Population hinges in great part on her relentless work in our department.

2024 Faculty of Science Excellence Award winners announced

McGill receives funding from the Canadian Space Agency for exoplanet studies using the James Webb Space Telescope

Ï㽶ÊÓƵ has received funding from the Canadian Space Agency for two separate projects dedicated to the study of exoplanets, using the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). The projects are slated for completion by June 2025. Both studies will be led by Professor Nicolas Cowan.

Real Data and Real Solutions in MATH 527

On a cloudy afternoon this past December, a group of McGill students gathered in a downtown Montréal boardroom to give a data science presentation to Citera, a sustainability analytics company. This presentation wasn’t for an internship or any other extracurricular activity – it was part of one of McGill’s newest and most innovative courses:ÌýMATH 527, Statistical Data Science Practicum.
