This year, the Nobel Prize in physics was awarded to Pierre Agostini, Ferenc Krausz and Anne L’Huillier "for experimental methods that generate attosecond pulses of light for the study of electron dynamics in matter". This ultra short timescale physics allows us to understand the behaviour of the smallest particles interacting at the fastest speeds. In this public talk, McGill Professor of Physics, Bradley Siwick, will take us through this exciting work and why it won these scientists the Nobel Prize.
Date: Dec 7th, 2023
Time: 7pm (doors open 6:50pm)
Location: McConnell Engineering Building room 204
